Denver Union Station

One of my favorite buildings in Denver is the old Union Station in Lodo. Today I found a new website by the Union Station Neighborhood Co. promoting the proposed build up all around the historic site. We are getting a new train station, more multi-use buildings, all in addition to more rail transit.

Here are some of the pictures:

Really? This will be in Denver?

Sounds like a step to a more sustainable city!

How IS the transportation there? I heard that it wasn't so great, but I've been on the lightrail there before and that seemed to be fine.

Denver is a car city. You can ride the light rail downtown, and there are buses – but it's mostly a low density, car city – even if you live downtown.

I would say that when it comes to public transport, Boulder has a better system of busses/bike lanes, etc.
