Interesting charts reveal international news coverage

The Online Journalism Blog posted revealing charts depicting the world through the eyes of editors-in-chief, in 2007. Countries swell as they receive more media attention; others shrink as we forget them. Here are three examples:

The authors of the charts use them argue that, contrary to what many of us ‘web-junkies’ feel, web-only outlets don’t cover the world any better than the leading publications like The Economist or the NYT.
